To be able to create a rate plan, you need to have a booking policy.
In a booking policy, general policies on different lengths of stay or rates are defined, but not the rates themselves. During the Acomodeo AMS guide, which you went through after your initial sign-up, you will have already created a booking policy.
First you can define three different lengths of stay (short stay, medium stay, long stay) and an “Advanced booking offset”, which determines how many minimum days (meaning how late) in advance the rate is bookable and how many maximum days (meaning how early) in advance the rate is bookable. For every stay duration, you create in the booking policy, you can define custom rates.
In the second step of creating a booking policy, all applicable taxes can be entered. This is important because our commission is being calculated on the basis of the net booking price.
Furthermore, you have the option to define individual cancellation policies for every stay duration you created. Please note that only those cancellation policies are relevant that are in the AMS at the time of a booking. Should you not have added any cancellation policies, this means that a booking can be canceled at any time free of charge.
The first booking policy, which you would have created during the initial startup process for the AMS, can be used for each apartment type or you can create new ones for different types; for example, to define different stay duration for them. Of course, in any case, you have the option to create individual rate plans for each apartment type, even when they have the same booking policy.
